Amy Meier Interiors

One of Californias most sought-after designers, Meiers first book captures her distinctive style: a balance of elegant minimalism and sophisticated, comfortable classicism.

Meiers rooms reflect her impulse to simplify. In this volume, Meier shares her design philosophy, showing readers how her graceful restraint creates refuges from todays world. These spaces are peaceful and calming, accented by bold splashes of shape, color, and texture. Arabescato marble turns a shower into a sculpture, gnarled burl brings a side table to life, a serene stainless kitchen counter curls with whimsy. Meier considers how the senses must be engaged: how stone feels under bare feet, how troweled Roman clay dampens sound, and how the light changes across hours and seasons.
