‘The Who by Numbers’ is the seventh studio album by The Who, released in October 1975. The album was a commercial success, peaking at number 8 on the US Billboard 200 chart, and number 6 on the UK Albums Chart. The songs on the album were, for the most part, more introspective and personal than other songs that the band had released previously. Pete Townshend has claimed that the band recorded practically every song he had written for ‘The Who by Numbers’, partially due to the writer’s block that he was experiencing at the time. This deluxe 3LP set features the original album newly remastered and expanded with ‘Who Put The Boot In’ – a classic live performance recorded at Swansea’s Vetch Field in 1976. Presented on heavyweight vinyl and includes a booklet featuring rare photographs and memorabilia from the era.
