Planet Pearl’ is French-American duo Pearl & The Oysters’ second album for Stones Throw, the follow up to Coast 2 Coast. ‘Planet Pearl’ sees P&TO as castaway space explorers marooned on earth, pondering their own estrangement from the planet as they navigate an alien world. From jazz-pop joy to depressed disco, Planet Pearl’s songs approach heavy subjects like family illness and neurodivergence with a light touch.
